  • U.S. News & World Report

    For 2023, U.S. News & World Report rates Wisconsin Lutheran College as one of the Top 20 Regional Colleges in the Midwest. Schools in this category focus almost entirely on the undergraduate experience and offer a broad range of programs in the liberal arts and in fields such as business, nursing, and education.

    WLC is included in the U.S. News rankings for Best Value Schools, ranked 14th among Regional Colleges in the Midwest.

    The college is also included in the Top Performers on Social Mobility rankings at #25 among Regional Colleges in the Midwest. This category rates how well schools graduated students who received Pell Grants.

    For 2023, Wisconsin Lutheran College is rated in the top 75 best Christian colleges and top 75 best college campuses in the country, and WLC's residence halls are ranked 8th in the nation and 1st in the state.

    Other notable rankings include 3rd best college campus, 3rd best colleges for business, and 4th best student life in the state. WLC's biology, education, and communication programs also ranked highly in comparison to other colleges in the state.

    Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education

    Wisconsin Lutheran College is included in the 2022 Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education College Rankings (subscription/login required). The WSJ/THE College Rankings is a pioneering ranking of U.S. colleges and universities that focuses on student success and learning.

    The ranking values schools that focus their spending on classroom instruction, and rewards both teaching and research excellence. It also places an emphasis on student outcomes.

    Washington Monthly

    Wisconsin Lutheran College is ranked 41st in the nation by Washington Monthly in the category of Bachelor's Colleges. The 2022 list ranks liberal arts colleges - four-year institutions that award almost exclusively bachelor's degrees and that focus on arts and sciences rather than professional programs - based on their contribution to the public good in three broad categories: social mobility, research, and promoting public service.

    Washington Monthly also included Wisconsin Lutheran College in its 2022 list of America's Best Bang for the Buck Colleges. WLC is ranked 83rd in a list of 387 schools in the Midwest. For this category, Washington Monthly ranks schools according to how well they help non-wealthy students attain marketable degrees at affordable prices.
